Also known as the sand leek or wild rocambole, Allium scorodoprasum ‘Art’ is a Eurasian species of wild onion native across Europe, the Middle East and Korea.

It was once used as a kitchen herb and can be found growing near old habitations. It favours woodland settings, forest margins, hillside meadows and hedgerows and can be identified by it’s pretty lilac flower heads.
