Crocus 'tommasinianus Barr's Purple'

Known as the snow crocus as it comes early almost two earlier than the larger flowered chrysanthus varieties. The leaves (which are grass like) produce a silvery grey stripe. ‘Barrs Purple‘ produce six petalled flowers in a rich amethyst-violet hued flowers.

Crocus tommasinianus will happily naturalize in damp areas of grass.

Plant in Autumn 10cm deep 5-8cm apart in direct sunlight and well drained soil.
